INFORMATION NOTICE


In accordance with the provisions regulating the protection of personal data, namely with Article 19 of the Federal Act on Data Protection of 19 June 1992 (FADP) and with Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679, IBSA Foundation for scientific research, as the data controller (below the “IBSA Foundation” or the “Controller”), wishes to inform you about the use of your personal information that you may provide to us (so-called “personal data”).

Your personal data will be collected by the Controller when you apply to the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP and will be processed for the below listed purposes.
Your personal data will be stored for the time strictly necessary for the purposes described in the present notice, in any event up to the statutory and legal time limit in compliance with the rights and the resulting obligations and in accordance with the principles of data minimization and storage limitation. We update and maintain our databases to grant yor personal data are constantly correct and exact. With regard to the information activity purpose, your personal data will be retained until you withdraw your consent.
1) Participation to the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP
The provision of your personal data is optional but necessary for you to participate to the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIPS. Refusal to provide your personal data will make it impossible for the IBSA Foundation to process your application and to perform the activities connected to your participation to the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIPS.
2) “Reporting activity” to enable the IBSA Foundation, directly or through third parties specifically appointed by the IBSA Foundation, to enter in contact with you (by telephone, SMS, mail, e-mail) to ask for updates and information in relation to the researches awarded with the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIPS.
The processing of your personal data is legally based on the legitimate interests of the IBSA Foundation to assess the monetary investment awarded to the researcher to support the relevant research activity as well as to disseminate on the communication channels of the IBSA Foundation information the information attesting how the IBSA FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP has tangibly sustained the awardees.
3) “Information activity”, to enable the IBSA FOUNDATION, directly or through third parties specifically appointed by the IBSA Foundation, to provide you, through dedicated IBSA personnel and/or forwarding of material through printed or digital channels (i.e. email), with the information relating to the activities and/or the scientific initiatives organized or sponsored by the IBSA Foundation.
The provision of your personal data is optional but necessary for the IBSA Foundation to provide you with the information relating to the activities and/or the scientific initiatives organized or sponsored by the IBSA Foundation. The legal basis for this specific processing is your consent. The refusal of your consent will not allow the IBSA Foundation to contact you to provide with the information relating to the activities and/or the scientific initiatives organized or sponsored by the IBSA Foundation.

Your personal data may be used by personnel of the IBSA Foundation that have been given appropriate operating instructions under an obligation of confidentiality to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorized disclosure. The data may be used by personnel of the IBSA Foundation that have been given appropriate operating instructions under an obligation of confidentiality. Your personal data may also be used by third-party entities providing operational services on behalf of the Foundation, which act as external data processors under the direction and supervision of the IBSA Foundation. How your personal data are processed
Your personal data are processed through information technology procedures or in any case using automated means or printed matter by persons, either internal or external, specifically appointed by the IBSA Foundation and responsible for this task and bound to confidentiality. Your personal data are protected by the security measures envisaged by the legislation, designed to prevent unauthorized access, loss or destruction.
Communication of the data
In accordance with the laws and regulations that we are subject to, your personal data may be communicated and/or transferred to organizations and authorities, based on a strict relevance criteria, if so required by legal requirements or for tax and safety purposes. The aforesaid organizations and authorities will act as data processors. The list of the Data Processors is available by sending a request to privacy@ibsafoundation.org.
With regard to the possible transfer of your personal data to third countries outside Switzerland and EU, including countries that may not provide the same level of protection envisaged by the applicable legislation, we inform you that the transfer of data abroad is subject to specific guarantees for the protection of personal data through the adoption of standard contractual clauses.
Rights of the data subject
In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to be informed at any time about your data held by the IBSA Foundation and how they are used. You also have the right to have the data updated, corrected or erased, to request their portability or restriction of processing, in the cases provided for by law, and to object to the processing of the data unless the IBSA Foundation has a legitimate interest in the data.
